Visit Salt Spring’s Saturday Market—one of Canada’s best loved outdoor markets. Meet over 140 artisans and food producers who all contribute to Salt Spring’s international reputation as a hotbed of world-class artists and organic farmers.

This is a fabulous day out, come on over to Salt Spring Island and browse internationally acclaimed vendors from Canada’s “Island of the Arts” including world class potters, jewellers, fibre artists, woodworkers, fine artists & photographers, body care practitioners, plus clothing and accessories vendors, organic produce suppliers and farmstead cheese producers. You’ll find delicious, organic homemade snacks and all types of food. Take an island tour, plus there is so much more to enjoy including live music and entertainment.

What’s so special about this market? The homespun guarantee of course! Vendors must “make it, bake it, or grow it” themselves, and all products available must be “vendor produced”. These simple mandates are the essence of the Salt Spring’s Saturday Market.

Visitors enjoy local creations stemming from Salt Spring’s unique brand of “island ingenuity”. They say that Salt Spring Island is home to the greatest collection of artists in Canada. So we say, this trip should be on everyone’s list.

When: Each Saturday, until the last Saturday in October. From approximately 8:30am-4pm, rain or shine. During summer months, watch for vendors setting up closer to 8am.

Where: Oceanside at Centennial Park in the heart of Ganges on Salt Spring Island.

Please Note: Dogs are not allowed in the Saturday Market. The SPCA provides dog sitting services but they do get full. If you want to enjoy browsing the amazing vendors and produce we recommend making alternative arrangements for your four legged friend.
